Portola Bulldogs (Irvine, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting University Trojans (Irvine, CA), 93-89 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Portola upgrades its record to 8-19 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Irvine (Irvine, CA) to play the Vaqueros in a Pacific Coast bout on Friday, February 2.
