Iowa High School Basketball - South O'Brien tops Sioux Central
February 1, 2024: Sioux Rapids, IA 50585 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the South O'Brien Wolverines (Paullina, IA) and the host Sioux Central Rebels (Sioux Rapids, IA), saw South O'Brien's basketball squad knock off Sioux Central by a count of 60-42.
With the victory, South O'Brien upgrades its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Wolverines host West Sioux (Hawarden, IA) to play the Falcons in a War Eagle challenge on Monday, February 5. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 2-19. West Sioux lost 65-33 in their recent league challenge against Hinton (Hinton, IA)
Next up, the Rebels play the Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire Titans (Ruthven, IA) in a Twin Lakes challenge, on Friday, February 2. Sioux Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 9-9 record after their 65-53 league loss to Newell-Fonda (Newell, IA).
