February 1, 2024: Denver, IA 50622 The Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks (Waverly, IA) basketball crushed the host Denver Cyclones (Denver, IA), 49-25 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Go-Hawks (19-0) will now prepare for their test against Crestwood (Cresco, IA). The Cadets go into the Northeast Iowa test with a 6-12 record. In their last test, Crestwood was trounced by St. Ansgar (St. Ansgar, IA), 52-42, in a non-league test.
The Cyclones now own a 13-6 record. They play next when they travel to South Hardin for a non-league test on Friday, February 2. Denver will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 43-37 non-league loss to Hampton-Dumont/CAL (Hampton, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 6-14.
