Arizona High School Basketball - Mica Mountain nips Salpointe Catholic
February 1, 2024: Tucson, AZ 85747 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts (Tucson, AZ) and the visiting Salpointe Catholic Lancers (Tucson, AZ), saw Mica Mountain's basketball squad hold off Salpointe Catholic by a count of 67-64.
With the victory, Mica Mountain upgrades its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Thunderbolts host Douglas (Douglas, AZ) to play the Bulldogs in a challenge on Friday, February 2. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 2-4. Douglas lost 68-50 in their recent league challenge against Walden Grove (Sahuarita, AZ)
Next up, the Lancers play the Paradise Honors Panthers (Surprise, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Salpointe Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 14-3 record after their 66-36 league win over Moon Valley (Phoenix, AZ).
