Illinois High School Basketball - Beardstown victorious over Astoria/VIT
February 1, 2025: Astoria, IL 61501 In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Beardstown Tigers basketball team scored a good 78-60 triumph over the Astoria/VIT Rebels.
The Tigers (6-17) will now prepare for their contest against Mendon Unity (Mendon, IL). The Mustangs go into the West Central contest with a 13-8 record. In their last contest, Mendon Unity was toppled by Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL), 72-55, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Rebels confront the Elmwood Trojans (Elmwood, IL) in a Inter County contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Astoria/VIT will attempt to better on its 2-17 season record. The Trojans go into the contest with a 11-11 record after their 56-39 league loss to Illini Bluffs (Glasford, IL).
