Illinois High School Basketball - Christ the King overwhelms Little Village
February 1, 2025: Chicago, IL 60644 The Christ the King Gladiators basketball team scored 68 points and limited the visiting Little Village Phoenix to 31 in the Gladiators non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Gladiators now have a 14-9 record. They play next when they travel to St. Edward for a Chicagoland Christian game on Tuesday, February 4. Christ the King will confront a Green Wave team coming off a 67-37 league loss to Chicago Hope Academy (Chicago, IL). The Green Wave record now stands at 10-14.
With the loss, Little Village falls to 20-5 on the campaign. The Phoenix host Foreman (Chicago, IL) to confront the Hornets in a non-league game on Monday, February 3. The Hornets go into the game with a record of 6-8. Foreman lost 66-58 in their recent non-league game against Clemente (Chicago, IL)
