Virginia High School Basketball - Gonzaga thwarts Oak Hill Academy
February 1, 2025: Mouth of Wilson, VA 24363 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Gonzaga Eagles (Washington, DC) and the host Oak Hill Academy Warriors (Mouth of Wilson, VA), observed Gonzaga's basketball team knock off Oak Hill Academy by a score of 79-63.
The Eagles (21-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD). The Falcons come into the Washington Catholic challenge with a 10-11 record. In their last challenge, Our Lady of Good Counsel was knocked off by DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD), 66-55, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Warriors encounter the New Faith Christian Academy Titans (Riverdale, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Oak Hill Academy will attempt to improve on its 17-6 season record.
