In Saturday's non-league test, the Southwestern Spartans (Shelbyville, IN) basketball squad trounced the visiting Herron Achaeans (Indianapolis, IN), by a score of 86-56.

Next, the Spartans encounter the Hauser Jets (Hope, IN) in a Mid-Hoosier test, on Thursday, February 6. Southwestern will attempt to improve on its 5-10 season record. The Jets come into the test with a 13-3 record after their 72-64 non-league loss to Batesville (Batesville, IN).

The Achaeans (2-18) will now prepare for their test against Sheridan (Sheridan, IN). The Blackhawks come into the non-league test with a 12-4 record. In their last test, Sheridan was routed by Covenant Christian (Indianapolis, IN), 74-65, in a non-league test.
