February 1, 2025: Verona, WI 53593 Homestead Highlanders (Mequon, WI) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Verona Wildcats (Verona, WI), 87-77 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Homestead advances its record to 13-5 on the year. The Highlanders host Hartford (Hartford, WI) to meet the Orioles in a North Shore match on Tuesday, February 4. The Orioles enter the match with a record of 7-9. Hartford lost 57-53 in their recent league match against West Bend West (West Bend, WI)
The Wildcats now own a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sun Prairie West for a Big Eight match on Tuesday, February 4. Verona will meet a Wolves squad coming off a 93-77 league win over Madison La Follette (Madison, WI). The Wolves record now stands at 9-7.
