Maine High School Basketball - Mt. Blue succumbs to Messalonskee
February 1, 2025: Farmington, ME 04938 In Saturday's league test, the Messalonskee Eagles (Oakland, ME) basketball squad defeated the host Mt. Blue Cougars (Farmington, ME), by a score of 51-39.
Next, the Eagles clash with the Skowhegan River Hawks (Skowhegan, ME) in a A North test, on Tuesday, February 4. Messalonskee will attempt to improve on its 14-2 season record. The River Hawks come into the test with a 1-15 record after their 57-45 league loss to Lawrence (Fairfield, ME).
The Cougars (12-6) will now prepare for their test against Gardiner (Gardiner, ME). The Tigers come into the A North test with a 8-8 record. In their last test, Gardiner overcame Nokomis (Newport, ME), 70-57, in a league test.
