Alaska High School Basketball - Chugiak thwarts Palmer
February 1, 2025: Chugiak, AK 99567 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Chugiak Mustangs (Chugiak, AK) and the visiting Palmer Moose (Palmer, AK), observed Chugiak's basketball team knock off Palmer by a score of 42-32.
The Mustangs (6-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Bettye Davis East Anchorage (Anchorage, AK). The Thunderbirds come into the 4A Cook Inlet challenge with a 1-11 record. In their last challenge, Bettye Davis East Anchorage prevailed over Eagle River (Eagle River, AK), 45-41, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Moose battle the Wasilla Warriors (Wasilla, AK) in a 4A Northern Lights challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Palmer will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 12-0 record after their 61-14 non-league win over West Valley (Fairbanks, AK).
