Illinois High School Basketball - Oswego holds off Metea Valley
February 1, 2025: Oswego, IL 60543 The Oswego Panthers basketball team scored 50 points and limited the visiting Metea Valley Mustangs to 48 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Panthers now have a 14-13 record. They play next when they travel to Bolingbrook for a SouthWest Prairie - West game on Tuesday, February 4. Oswego will confront a Raiders team coming off a 58-49 non-league loss to Edison Academy (Detroit, MI). The Raiders record now stands at 17-9.
With the loss, Metea Valley falls to 7-18 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Naperville North (Naperville, IL) to confront the Huskies in a DuPage Valley game on Tuesday, February 4. The Huskies go into the game with a record of 13-13. Naperville North won 60-26 in their recent non-league game against Plainfield Central (Plainfield, IL)
