February 1, 2025: Somerset, KY 42501 In Saturday's non-league test, the Whitley County Colonels (Williamsburg, KY) basketball squad trounced the host Somerset Briar Jumpers (Somerset, KY), by a score of 56-32.
Next, the Colonels clash with the Corbin Redhounds (Corbin, KY) in a District 50 test, on Tuesday, February 4. Whitley County will attempt to improve on its 14-7 season record. The Redhounds come into the test with a 12-6 record after their 46-34 league loss to South Laurel (London, KY).
The Briar Jumpers (3-15) will now prepare for their test against Garrard County (Lancaster, KY). The Golden Lions come into the non-league test with a 9-6 record. In their last test, Garrard County bounced Casey County (Liberty, KY), 70-60, in a non-league test.
