North Carolina High School Basketball - Ashbrook nudges Highland Tech

February 2, 2022: Gastonia, NC 28054

In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC) basketball squad nipped the visiting Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC), by a margin of 57-52.

The Greenwave (6-14) will now prepare for their outing against South Point (Belmont, NC). The Red Raiders go into the 3A Conference 50 outing with a 9-11 record. In their last outing, South Point was tipped by Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC), 78-65, in a league outing.

The Rams now own a 2-16 record. They play next when they host Cherryville for a 1A/2A Conference 40 outing on Friday, February 4. Highland Tech will clash with a Ironmen squad coming off a 55-44 league win over Thomas Jefferson (Mooresboro, NC). The Ironmen record now stands at 12-7.
