Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Hug Hawks (Reno, NV) and the visiting Sparks Railroaders (Sparks, NV), saw Hug's basketball squad hold off Sparks by a tally of 62-60.

With the victory, Hug improves its record to 6-13 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Wooster (Reno, NV) to confront the Colts in a 3A Northern - West challenge on Saturday, February 5. The Colts come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. Wooster lost 55-50 in their recent league challenge against South Tahoe (South Lake Tahoe, CA)

Next up, the Railroaders confront the Spring Creek Spartans (Spring Creek, NV) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 4. Sparks will attempt to improve on its 5-13 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 2-16 record after their 72-30 league loss to Elko (Elko, NV).
