Maine High School Basketball - Houlton tops Central Aroostook
February 2, 2023: Houlton, ME 04730 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Houlton Shiretowners (Houlton, ME) and the visiting Central Aroostook Panthers (Mars Hill, ME), saw Houlton's basketball squad knock off Central Aroostook by a count of 57-45.
With the victory, Houlton upgrades its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Shiretowners host Hermon (Hermon, ME) to play the Hawks in a B North challenge on Friday, February 3. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 3-12. Hermon lost 66-31 in their recent league challenge against Caribou (Caribou, ME)
Next up, the Panthers play the Fort Kent Warriors (Fort Kent, ME) in a C North challenge, on Friday, February 3. Central Aroostook will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 13-4 record after their 76-58 non-league loss to Caribou (Caribou, ME).
