In Thursday's league outing, the Fountain Central Mustangs (Veedersburg, IN) basketball squad nipped the visiting Covington Trojans (Covington, IN), by a margin of 37-32.

The Mustangs (14-4) will now prepare for their outing against South Newton (Kentland, IN). The Rebels go into the non-league outing with a 0-16 record. In their last outing, South Newton was tipped by North Vermillion (Cayuga, IN), 48-35, in a non-league outing.

The Trojans now own a 10-10 record. They play next when they host Seeger for a Wabash River outing on Friday, February 10. Covington will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 75-41 non-league win over Frontier (Chalmers, IN). The Patriots record now stands at 13-4.
