Upper Darby Royals (Drexel Hill, PA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Garnet Valley Jaguars (Glen Mills, PA), 71-65 in a league bout.

With the victory, Upper Darby upgrades its record to 14-6 on the campaign. The Royals travel to Kennett (Kennett Square, PA) to play the Blue Demons in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Blue Demons come into the bout with a record of 1-18. Kennett lost 54-31 in their recent league bout against Unionville (Kennett Square, PA)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Haverford Fords (Havertown, PA) in a Central bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Garnet Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 15-6 season record. The Fords come into the bout with a 11-10 record after their 65-40 non-league win over String Theory (Philadelphia, PA).
