Minnesota High School Basketball - Kenyon-Wanamingo victorious over St. Charles
February 2, 2023: Kenyon, MN 55946 The Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting St. Charles Fighting Saints to 56 in the Knights non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Knights now sport a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hayfield for a A Section 1 contest on Tuesday, February 7. Kenyon-Wanamingo will meet a Vikings team coming off a 65-40 non-league win over New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva (New Richland, MN). The Vikings record now stands at 17-3.
The Fighting Saints (3-16) will now prepare for their contest against Lewiston-Altura (Lewiston, MN). The Cardinals enter the AA Section 1 contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, Lewiston-Altura ran past La Crescent (La Crescent, MN), 58-47, in a league contest.
