The Wake Prep Academy Guardians basketball team (Wake Forest, NC), was overwhelmed 78-38 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host NC GBB Academy Eagles (Durham, NC)

The Eagles now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Commission Leadership Academy for a CAASC Triangle contest on Friday, February 3. NC GBB Academy will meet a Griffins team coming off a 46-44 league loss to Howard (Wilson, NC). The Griffins record now stands at 3-8.

The Guardians (5-16) will now prepare for their contest against Carolina Mustangs (Durham, NC). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 1-12 record. In their last contest, Carolina Mustangs triumphed over Emerson Waldorf (Chapel Hill, NC), 44-43, in a non-league contest.
