In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Ellicott Thunderhawks basketball team scored a decisive 56-33 triumph over the Brush Beetdiggers.

In their next game, the Thunderhawks meet the Rye Thunderbolts (Rye, CO) in a 4A/3A Tri-Peaks match, on Friday, February 3. Ellicott will attempt to move on its 12-2 season record. The Thunderbolts enter the match with a 2-11 record after their 78-20 league loss to St. Mary's (Colorado Springs, CO).

With the defeat, Brush moves to 9-6 on the year. The Beetdiggers travel to Wellington (Wellington, CO) to meet the Eagles in a 3A Patriot match on Friday, February 3.
