The Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) basketball knocked off the host Upper Scioto Valley Rams (McGuffey, OH), 37-27 in Thursday's league test.

The Comets (9-11) will now prepare for their test against Bucyrus (Bucyrus, OH). The Redmen go into the non-league test with a 7-12 record. In their last test, Bucyrus went down by Buckeye Central (New Washington, OH), 65-31, in a league test.

The Rams now own a 4-17 record. They play next when they travel to Ridgemont for a Northwest Central test on Thursday, February 9.
