Iowa High School Basketball - Roland-Story can't hold off Grundy Center
February 2, 2023: Grundy Center, IA 50638 The Roland-Story Norsemen basketball team (Story City, IA), was nudged 50-47 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Grundy Center Spartans (Grundy Center, IA)
The Spartans now possess a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gladbrook-Reinbeck for a North Iowa Cedar - West battle on Friday, February 3. Grundy Center will battle a Rebels team coming off a 50-34 non-league win over Collins-Maxwell (Maxwell, IA). The Rebels record now stands at 8-9.
The Norsemen (11-8) will now prepare for their battle against Prairie City-Monroe (Monroe, IA). The Mustangs come into the Heart of Iowa battle with a 9-10 record. In their last battle, Prairie City-Monroe was nudged by West Marshall (State Center, IA), 67-35, in a league battle.
