Smithville Warriors (Smithville, MO) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Winnetonka Griffins (Kansas City, MO), 56-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Smithville upgrades its record to 10-8 on the season. The Warriors travel to Raytown South (Raytown, MO) to play the Cardinals in a Suburban - Blue bout on Monday, February 6. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 14-3. Raytown South won 54-49 in their recent non-league bout against Pembroke Hill (Kansas City, MO)

Next up, the Griffins play the Pembroke Hill Raiders (Kansas City, MO) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. Winnetonka will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 54-49 non-league loss to Raytown South (Raytown, MO).
