Maryland High School Basketball - Blake trounces Damascus
February 2, 2024: Damascus, MD 20872 The Blake Bengals (Silver Spring, MD) basketball crushed the host Damascus Hornets (Damascus, MD), 75-53 in Friday's non-league test.
The Bengals (9-4) will now prepare for their test against Paint Branch (Burtonsville, MD). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 14-2 record. In their last test, Paint Branch walloped Springbrook (Silver Spring, MD), 52-44, in a non-league test.
The Hornets now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they travel to Poolesville for a Montgomery 3A/2A North test on Monday, February 5. Damascus will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 45-36 league loss to Watkins Mill (Gaithersburg, MD). The Falcons record now stands at 7-8.
