Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Junction Eagles (Junction, TX) and the host Center Point Pirates (Center Point, TX), saw Junction's basketball squad knock off Center Point by a count of 58-41.

With the victory, Junction upgrades its record to 14-12 on the campaign. The Eagles host Harper (Harper, TX) to play the Longhorns in a 2A Region IV District 29 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a record of 4-19.

Next up, the Pirates play the Goldthwaite Eagles (Goldthwaite, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 29 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Center Point will attempt to upgrade on its 2-15 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 17-9 record after their 56-40 league win over San Saba (San Saba, TX).
