Oregon High School Basketball - Crater nips Springfield
February 2, 2024: Springfield, OR 97477 Crater Comets (Central Point, OR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Springfield Millers (Springfield, OR), 47-41 in a league bout.
With the win, Crater upgrades its record to 15-4 on the season. The Comets host Ashland (Ashland, OR) to play the Grizzlies in a 5A Midwestern bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a record of 5-13. Ashland lost 73-56 in their recent league bout against Thurston (Springfield, OR)
Next up, the Millers play the North Eugene Highlanders (Eugene, OR) in a 5A Midwestern bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Springfield will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Highlanders go into the bout with a 17-2 record after their 67-43 league win over Eagle Point (Eagle Point, OR).
