North Carolina High School Basketball - Fairmont crushes Midway
February 2, 2024: Fairmont, NC 28340 Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Midway Raiders (Dunn, NC), 67-26 in a league bout.
With the win, Fairmont upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Golden Tornadoes travel to St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 2A Southeastern bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 9-11. St. Pauls won 68-65 in their recent league bout against Red Springs (Red Springs, NC)
Next up, the Raiders clash with the West Bladen Knights (Bladenboro, NC) in a 2A Southeastern bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Midway will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 17-1 record after their 69-31 league win over Clinton (Clinton, NC).
