The McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) basketball knocked off the host North Buncombe Black Hawks (Weaverville, NC), 54-40 in Friday's league test.

The Titans (16-3) will now prepare for their test against Enka (Enka, NC). The Jets go into the 3A/4A Mountain test with a 5-14 record. In their last test, Enka went down by T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC), 39-33, in a league test.

The Black Hawks now own a 12-6 record. They play next when they travel to Enka for a 3A/4A Mountain test on Friday, February 9.
