Michigan High School Ice Hockey - Alpena holds off Port Huron Northern
February 2, 2024: Port Huron, MI 48060 The Alpena Wildcats edged the host Port Huron Northern Huskies ice hockey squad by a tally of 5-4 in Friday's non-league bout.
With the victory, Alpena betters its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Petoskey (Petoskey, MI) to confront the Northmen in a non-league bout on Friday, February 9. The Northmen go into the bout with a record of 11-5.
The Huskies now have a 11-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to L'Anse Creuse North for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. Port Huron Northern will confront a Crusaders squad coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Dakota (Macomb, MI). The Crusaders record now stands at 10-10.
