Virginia High School Basketball - Atlantic Shores Christian nips Norfolk Collegiate
February 3, 2022: Chesapeake, VA 23320 Atlantic Shores Christian Seahawks (Chesapeake, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Norfolk Collegiate Mighty Oaks (Norfolk, VA), 46-42 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Atlantic Shores Christian upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Seahawks host Portsmouth Christian (Portsmouth, VA) to play the Patriots in a Metropolitan bout on Friday, February 4. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 7-7. Portsmouth Christian won 25-24 in their recent league bout against Denbigh Baptist Christian (Newport News, VA)
Next up, the Mighty Oaks play the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints (Suffolk, VA) in a TCIS bout, on Tuesday, February 8. Norfolk Collegiate will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Saints go into the bout with a 14-3 record after their 57-32 non-league win over Trinity Episcopal (Richmond, VA).
