South Dakota High School Basketball - Hill City overwhelms Newell
February 3, 2022: Hill City, SD 57745 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Hill City Rangers (Hill City, SD) and the visiting Newell Irrigators (Newell, SD), saw Hill City's basketball squad wallop Newell by a tally of 54-24.
With the victory, Hill City improves its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Rangers host Douglas (Box Elder, SD) to confront the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 8. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 2-12. Douglas lost 53-38 in their recent league challenge against Brookings (Brookings, SD)
Next up, the Irrigators confront the Edgemont Moguls (Edgemont, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 4. Newell will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Moguls come into the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 53-36 non-league win over Hemingford (Hemingford, NE).
