Georgia High School Basketball - Banneker overwhelmed by Lithia Springs
February 3, 2023: Lithia Springs, GA 30122 The Banneker Trojans basketball team (College Park, GA), was overwhelmed 71-39 in Friday's league battle with the host Lithia Springs Lions (Lithia Springs, GA)
The Lions now possess a 6-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chapel Hill for a AAAAA Region 5 battle on Saturday, February 4. Lithia Springs will confront a Panthers team coming off a 57-53 league win over Mays (Atlanta, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 15-7.
The Trojans (2-21) will now prepare for their battle against Creekside (Fairburn, GA). The Seminoles come into the AAAAA Region 5 battle with a 12-11 record. In their last battle, Creekside was overwhelmed by Jackson (Atlanta, GA), 72-39, in a league battle.
