Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Central Grizzlies (Fresno, CA) and the visiting Buchanan Bears (Clovis, CA), saw Central's basketball squad overcome Buchanan by a tally of 54-44.

With the victory, Central improves its record to 8-17 on the campaign. The Grizzlies travel to Liberty (Brentwood, CA) to confront the Lions in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 4. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 17-5. Liberty won 84-54 in their recent league challenge against Antioch (Antioch, CA)

Next up, the Bears confront the Clovis West Golden Eagles (Fresno, CA) in a Tri-Rivers challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Buchanan will attempt to improve on its 8-14 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a 25-2 record after their 81-76 league win over Clovis East (Clovis, CA).
