South Carolina High School Basketball - Carvers Bay holds off Hemingway
February 3, 2023: Hemingway, SC 29554 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Carvers Bay Bears (Hemingway, SC) and the host Hemingway Tigers (Hemingway, SC), saw Carvers Bay's basketball squad hold off Hemingway by a tally of 58-54.
With the victory, Carvers Bay improves its record to 13-11 on the campaign. The Bears host Johnsonville (Johnsonville, SC) to confront the Flashes in a A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Flashes come into the challenge with a record of 13-6. Johnsonville lost 71-53 in their recent league challenge against Scott's Branch (Summerton, SC)
Next up, the Tigers confront the East Clarendon Wolverines (Turbeville, SC) in a A Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Hemingway will attempt to improve on its 1-17 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 1-19 record after their 59-34 league loss to Johnsonville (Johnsonville, SC).
