Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Lake Arthur Tigers (Lake Arthur, LA) and the host Welsh Greyhounds (Welsh, LA), saw Lake Arthur's basketball squad hold off Welsh by a tally of 71-67.

With the victory, Lake Arthur improves its record to 10-8 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to DeQuincy (DeQuincy, LA) to confront the Tigers in a 2A District 5 challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 3-17.

Next up, the Greyhounds confront the Vinton Lions (Vinton, LA) in a 2A District 5 challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Welsh will attempt to improve on its 17-7 season record.
