Texas High School Basketball - Water Valley ripped by Sterling City
February 3, 2023: Water Valley, TX 76958 The Sterling City Eagles basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Water Valley Wildcats to 35 in the Eagles league triumph on Friday.
The Eagles now sport a 18-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ozona for a 2A Region I District 7 contest on Saturday, February 4. Sterling City will battle a Lions team coming off a 91-27 league loss to Reagan County (Big Lake, TX). The Lions record now stands at 5-21.
The Wildcats (16-12) will now prepare for their contest against Christoval (Christoval, TX). The Cougars enter the 2A Region I District 7 contest with a 17-12 record. In their last contest, Christoval triumphed over Sonora (Sonora, TX), 74-44, in a league contest.
