Virginia High School Basketball - Deep Run tops Godwin
February 3, 2023: Glen Allen, VA 23059 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Deep Run Wildcats (Glen Allen, VA) and the visiting Godwin Eagles (Richmond, VA), saw Deep Run's basketball squad knock off Godwin by a tally of 56-39.
With the victory, Deep Run improves its record to 10-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats host J.R. Tucker (Henrico, VA) to play the Tigers in a Colonial challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 2-18. J.R. Tucker lost 46-20 in their recent league challenge against Freeman (Richmond, VA)
Next up, the Eagles play the Maggie Walker (Richmond, VA) in a Colonial challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Godwin will attempt to improve on its 13-7 season record. The come into the challenge with a 10-8 record after their 40-29 non-league loss to Patrick Henry (Ashland, VA).
