North Carolina High School Basketball - Croatan holds off West Carteret
February 3, 2023: Morehead City, NC 28557 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC) and the host West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC), saw Croatan's basketball squad hold off West Carteret by a tally of 38-33.
With the victory, Croatan improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Cougars host Swansboro (Swansboro, NC) to confront the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 8-5. Swansboro won 38-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC)
Next up, the Patriots confront the Richlands Wildcats (Richlands, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. West Carteret will attempt to improve on its 13-2 season record.
