Illinois High School Basketball - Genoa-Kingston holds off Dixon
February 3, 2023: Genoa, IL 60135 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Genoa-Kingston Cogs (Genoa, IL) and the visiting Dixon Dukes & Duchesses (Dixon, IL), saw Genoa-Kingston's basketball squad hold off Dixon by a tally of 53-47.
With the victory, Genoa-Kingston improves its record to 16-9 on the campaign. The Cogs host Richmond-Burton (Richmond, IL) to confront the Rockets in a challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 1-3. Richmond-Burton lost 36-35 in their recent league challenge against Marengo (Marengo, IL)
Next up, the Dukes & Duchesses confront the Oregon Hawks (Oregon, IL) in a challenge, on Wednesday, February 15. Dixon will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record.
