February 3, 2024: Belle Vernon, PA 15012 The Belle Vernon Leopards basketball team (Belle Vernon, PA), dropped 73-63 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Gateway Gators (Monroeville, PA)
The Gators now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Franklin Regional for a WPIAL 5A 3 battle on Tuesday, February 6. Gateway will battle a Panthers team coming off a 57-49 league win over Greater Latrobe (Latrobe, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 16-2.
The Leopards (11-5) will now prepare for their battle against Albert Gallatin (Uniontown, PA). The Colonials come into the WPIAL 4A 3 battle with a 8-9 record. In their last battle, Albert Gallatin prevailed over Carrick (Pittsburgh, PA), 60-56, in a non-league battle.
