February 3, 2024: North English, IA 52316 The English Valleys Bears basketball team (North English, IA), was overwhelmed 66-27 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Woodward-Granger Hawks (Woodward, IA)
The Hawks now possess a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Collins-Maxwell-Baxter for a non-league battle on Monday, February 5. Woodward-Granger will battle a Raiders team coming off a 73-46 non-league loss to Danville (Danville, IA). The Raiders record now stands at 0-2.
The Bears (4-16) will now prepare for their battle against Pekin (Packwood, IA). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 9-10 record. In their last battle, Pekin was overwhelmed by Notre Dame (Burlington, IA), 54-25, in a non-league battle.
