Rhode Island High School Ice Hockey - Smithfield can't get by Ridgefield
February 3, 2024: Esmond, RI 02917 In Saturday's non-league test, the visiting Ridgefield Tigers ice hockey team scored a tight 1-0 win over the Smithfield Sentinels.
The Tigers (11-5) will now prepare for their test against Greenwich (Greenwich, CT). The Cardinals enter the FCIAC test with a 2-10 record. In their last test, Greenwich was nipped by Cheshire (Cheshire, CT), 4-1, in a non-league test.
Next up, the Sentinels encounter the Cumberland Clippers (Cumberland, RI) in a State Championship Division test, on Saturday, February 3. Smithfield will attempt to advance on its 9-8 season record. The Clippers enter the test with a 3-9 record after their 5-3 league loss to Barrington (Barrington, RI).
