Iowa High School Basketball - Central Lyon trounced by Spirit Lake
February 3, 2025: Spirit Lake, IA 51360 Spirit Lake Indians (Spirit Lake, IA) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Central Lyon Lions (Rock Rapids, IA), 63-42 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Spirit Lake advances its record to 16-3 on the campaign. The Indians host St. Mary's (Remsen, IA) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 4. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 15-3. St. Mary's won 30-27 in their recent league bout against Gehlen Catholic (Le Mars, IA)
With the loss, Central Lyon falls to 3-13 on the campaign. The Lions host Unity Christian (Orange City, IA) to play the Knights in a Siouxland bout on Tuesday, February 4. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 16-3. Unity Christian won 58-45 in their recent non-league bout against Stanley County (Fort Pierre, SD)
