North Carolina High School Basketball - Marvin Ridge triumphant over Sun Valley

February 3, 2025: Waxhaw, NC 28173

The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) and the visiting Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC), observed Marvin Ridge's basketball team overwhelm Sun Valley by a margin of 68-24.

The Mavericks (9-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Cox Mill (Concord, NC). The Chargers come into the non-league challenge with a 9-10 record. In their last challenge, Cox Mill trounced A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC), 87-64, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) in a 4A Southern Carolina challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Sun Valley will attempt to better on its 7-13 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 15-5 record after their 53-35 league win over Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC).
