The Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles basketball squad (Washington, DC), was nudged 44-42 in Monday's league battle with the visiting St. Anselm's Abbey Panthers (Washington, DC)

With the victory, St. Anselm's Abbey advances its record to 14-7 on the year. The Panthers travel to Sandy Spring Friends (Sandy Spring, MD) to meet the Wildebeests in a Potomac Valley battle on Tuesday, February 4. The Wildebeests enter the battle with a record of 13-21. Sandy Spring Friends lost 65-60 in their recent non-league battle against Parkside (Washington, DC)

The Eagles now own a 7-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host Field for a DCSAA A battle on Tuesday, February 4.
