Illinois High School Basketball - Riverdale can't hold off Alleman
February 3, 2025: Rock Island, IL 61201 Alleman Pioneers (Rock Island, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Riverdale Rams (Port Byron, IL), 48-42 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Alleman upgrades its record to 21-7 on the year. The Pioneers travel to Quincy (Quincy, IL) to face the Blue Devils in a Western Big 6 match on Thursday, February 6. The Blue Devils enter the match with a record of 15-10. Quincy lost 66-55 in their recent non-league match against Quincy Notre Dame (Quincy, IL)
The Rams now sport a 18-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mercer County for a Three Rivers - West match on Thursday, February 6. Riverdale will face a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 41-39 league loss to Orion (Orion, IL). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 13-15.
