The Franklin Cougars soccer team scored 1 points and limited the visiting Coronado Thunderbirds to 0 in the Cougars league victory on Friday.

Next, the Cougars face the Americas Trail Blazers (El Paso, TX) in a 6A Region 1 District 1 contest, on Tuesday, February 8. Franklin will attempt to better on its 8-3 season record. The Trail Blazers enter the contest with a 8-5 record after their 3-1 league win over Pebble Hills (El Paso, TX).

The Thunderbirds now have a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host Eastwood for a 6A Region 1 District 1 contest on Tuesday, February 8. Coronado will face a Troopers team coming off a 5-1 league win over Socorro (El Paso, TX). The Troopers record now stands at 7-5.
