East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Lincolnton Wolves (Lincolnton, NC), 42-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, East Burke upgrades its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Newton-Conover (Newton, NC) to play the Red Devils in a bout on Saturday, February 5. The Red Devils come into the bout with a record of 7-4. Newton-Conover won 50-41 in their recent league bout against Bandys (Catawba, NC)

Next up, the Wolves play the West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC) in a bout, on Friday, February 11. Lincolnton will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record.
