South Dakota High School Basketball - Elk Point-Jefferson nips Groton
February 4, 2023: Elk Point, SD 57025 Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies (Elk Point, SD) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Groton Tigers (Groton, SD), 60-56 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Elk Point-Jefferson upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Huskies travel to Canton (Canton, SD) to play the C-Hawks in a A Region 4 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The C-Hawks go into the bout with a record of 8-6. Canton lost 69-53 in their recent non-league bout against Sioux Falls Christian (Sioux Falls, SD)
Next up, the Tigers play the North Central Thunder (Eureka, SD) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Groton will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Thunder go into the bout with a 1-14 record after their 62-58 non-league loss to Burke (Burke, SD).
